Bridging the gap between fitness and medicine is precisely how I describe what I do. For the better part of a decade, that's been my practice — collaborating with physical therapy providers, teaching yoga therapeutics, and delivering private personal training and yoga sessions, both in-person and online, through Sage Movement.
For several years I rented space inside Innova Physical Therapy in Redmond, working alongside PTs to support patients transitioning out of clinical care. I wrote SOAP notes, collaborated on programming and contraindications, and worked with clients navigating post-surgical recovery, chronic pain, and return to exercise following a health event or extended break.
My continuing education matches that focus: I'm a Yoga Medicine® Therapeutic Specialist with completed modules in orthopedic, nervous system, self-myofascial release, female health, and sacroiliac dysfunction. In 2023 I participated in a cadaver dissection lab through Laboratories of Anatomical Enlightenment — an experience that permanently changed how I assess and teach movement.
What I bring beyond credentials is the ability to help people develop movement competency — learning to check in with their own body, take on meaningful challenges at the right pace, and build sustainable health practices. I'm part trainer, part educator, part encourager. I build rapport because I'm on the journey with them.
